How to log in to tplinkmodem.net

Connect your phone or computer to the TP-Link modem routers (Archer VR, TD-W series) by Wi-Fi or a network cable. On a phone, turn off mobile data.
Open a browser and type http://tplinkmodem.net in the address bar (not the search box).
Enter the login: Created by you on first login (older models: admin / admin).
Change the Wi-Fi name and password, update the firmware or check connected devices.

tplinkmodem.net only works on the device’s own network. It is a local address, not a public website, so it will not load over mobile data or another Wi-Fi.
Use the IP address instead: 192.168.1.1. It works even when the name does not.
Type http://, not https://, and turn off VPN, Private DNS or Private Relay. They can stop local names from working.
Clear the browser cache or try a private window. Browsers sometimes remember a failed lookup.
If the name does not open, type 192.168.1.1.
