How to log in to mymodem

  1. Connect your phone or computer to the Telstra Smart Modems by Wi-Fi or a network cable. On a phone, turn off mobile data.
  2. Open a browser and type http://mymodem in the address bar (not the search box).
  3. Enter the login: admin / Telstra (Gen 2 / 1.1) or printed on the label (Gen 3).
  4. Change the Wi-Fi name and password, update the firmware or check connected devices.

mymodem not working?

  • mymodem only works on the device’s own network. It is a local address, not a public website, so it will not load over mobile data or another Wi-Fi.
  • Use the IP address instead: 192.168.0.1. It works even when the name does not.
  • Type http://, not https://, and turn off VPN, Private DNS or Private Relay. They can stop local names from working.
  • Clear the browser cache or try a private window. Browsers sometimes remember a failed lookup.
  • If the name fails, type 192.168.0.1.
  • Still stuck? Reset the device to restore the default address and password.
