How to set the new password on your router
- Open your router’s admin page — usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
- Go to Wireless / WLAN → Security.
- Choose WPA2-PSK (AES) or WPA3, paste the password into “Pre-Shared Key” or “Passphrase” and save.
- Reconnect each device with the new password.
What makes a good Wi-Fi password
- Length beats complexity. 16+ characters, or four random words, is far stronger than a short password full of symbols.
- Random, not personal. Avoid names, phone numbers and birthdays — they are the first guesses.
- Easy to type on a TV. Word passwords are easier to enter with a remote. Skipping look-alike characters (l/1, O/0) prevents typing errors.
- WPA2 allows 8–63 characters. Some older devices reject symbols such as quotes or backslashes, which this tool never uses.

How long should a Wi-Fi password be?
At least 12 characters; 16 or more is better. WPA2 and WPA3 accept up to 63.
Can I use spaces in a Wi-Fi password?
WPA2 allows spaces, but some devices and routers handle them badly. This tool joins words with hyphens instead.
