How to log in to myrouter.local

  1. Connect your phone or computer to the Linksys routers and Velop mesh by Wi-Fi or a network cable. On a phone, turn off mobile data.
  2. Open a browser and type http://myrouter.local in the address bar (not the search box).
  3. Enter the login: Printed on the label (older: admin).
  4. Change the Wi-Fi name and password, update the firmware or check connected devices.

myrouter.local not working?

  • myrouter.local only works on the device’s own network. It is a local address, not a public website, so it will not load over mobile data or another Wi-Fi.
  • Use the IP address instead: 192.168.1.1. It works even when the name does not.
  • Type http://, not https://, and turn off VPN, Private DNS or Private Relay. They can stop local names from working.
  • Clear the browser cache or try a private window. Browsers sometimes remember a failed lookup.
  • If the name does not load, type 192.168.1.1. The Linksys app can do most settings as well.
  • Still stuck? Reset the device to restore the default address and password.
