If the default login is rejected, the password was changed. The only way back in without it is a factory reset.

Change your Wi-Fi name and password

  1. Log in at my.keenetic.net with the admin username and password.
  2. Open the Wireless (or WLAN / Wi-Fi) section.
  3. Change the SSID to set a new network name.
  4. Set security to WPA2-PSK or WPA3 and type a new password of at least 12 characters in the “Password”, “Pre-Shared Key” or “WPA Passphrase” box.
  5. Save or apply. Your devices will disconnect — reconnect them with the new password.

How to reset a Keenetic router

Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the status light blinks. The router restarts with the factory Wi-Fi name, password and admin login from the label. You will need to set up your internet connection again, so keep your ISP username and password handy.

192.168.1.1 not opening? Fixes that work

  • Connect to the router first. Use its Wi-Fi or a LAN cable — mobile data will never reach 192.168.1.1.
  • Type it in the address bar, not the search box, and include http://http://192.168.1.1. Many routers have no HTTPS page.
  • Check for typos: only numbers and dots. The letter “l” or “o” in place of 1 or 0 will not work.
  • Your router may use a different address. Check the default gateway (see above) or the label.
  • Turn off VPN, proxy or “Private Relay”. They send traffic outside your home network.
  • Try another browser or a private window, and clear the cache.
  • Restart the router: unplug it for 30 seconds, then wait two minutes after plugging it back in.
  • Still stuck? A factory reset restores the default address and password.
